About the role
- Leads the medical controlling team at GFO hospitals. Responsible for coding and compliance with regulations in healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Decentralized technical and disciplinary leadership of the medical controlling department
- Complete, accurate and timely medical coding to ensure revenue
- Concurrent coding during cases and close collaboration with clinical departments for case management
- Timely handling of MD and payer inquiries
- Advising the commercial directorate, medical and nursing services on strategic matters
- Consideration of developments in hospital reform and the trend toward outpatient care (ambulatory care)
Requirements
- Completed degree (Health Economics, Health Management, Business Administration, Medicine) or medical training
- Several years of professional experience in medical controlling, ideally in a leadership position
- Completed further training as a coding specialist
- Solid knowledge of the DRG and PEPP systems, relevant legal regulations and hospital billing
- Knowledge of cgm medico KIS and uhb Amondis advantageous
- Strong analytical skills and a structured way of working
- Leadership experience and strong communication and managerial skills
- Interest in digitalization and IT topics as well as experience in project management
- Team player, reliable and empathetic
