About the role

  • Remote Sensing and Data Science Manager at Geodata Systems Technologies leading project teams and developing strategies. Responsible for managing risks, staff performance, and technical service provisions.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the achievement of the departments goals, objectives, and KPIs
  • Develop/manage/lead the Division
  • Manage projects (internal and external)
  • Manage Business Development activities
  • Help and assist the GDPS Director (and Deputy Director, if applicable)
  • Identify, manage, control, and mitigate risks that may affect achievement of objectives and goals
  • Prepare, update, evaluate, present, monitor, and accountable for reporting and submission of strategic goals/objectives, manpower plan, CapEX plan, developmental plan
  • Contribute to the development of strategies and plans of the Department
  • Assess the capability of current workforce and ensure the availability of competent staff for each position considering the plan and the corporate goals
  • Plan, initiate, and coordinate the developmental needs of the staff for future role or assignment
  • Assign, delegate, manage, and monitor tasks and personnel utilization
  • Evaluate and cascade the division goals and objectives to staff members
  • Formulate the KRAs and KPIs of staff members and ensure alignment to the division, department and corporate goals
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the staff members and provide constructive feedback
  • Mentor and coach the staff members for growth and development
  • Direct and oversee the conceptualization, documentation, and implementation of the Division's standard Business Processes
  • Manage Project and Tech Service implementations
  • Act as Data Services Manager for DMSS customers and manage/monitor man-day usage, scope, and data services provided
  • Lead and manage provision of Technical Services
  • Lead and manage the tasks and members of a subgroup within a project or engagement
  • Participate in presentations/demos to present Drone Flight Scenarios, Parameters and Limitations
  • Provide inputs re: flight parameters, flight plan, recommendations and limitations during preparation of proposals

Requirements

  • Graduate of BS Geography, BS Geodetic Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or other related I.T., Engineering and Science courses
  • At least 2 years Supervisory experience
  • At least 3 years' experience in leading teams of analysts and specialists and in handling GIS/Remote Sensing-related Projects
  • Advanced knowledge in optical, multispectral, LiDAR, UAV imagery and imagery processing
  • Proficiency in core GIS and remote sensing software (such as ArcGIS, Drone2Map/Site Scan/Reality, ENVI, Pix4D, and Agisoft)
  • Proficiency in Machine Learning/Deep Learning (ML/DL) and GeoAI; familiarity with AI Agents/ Workflow automation is an advantage
  • Familiar with Python programming for image analysis and automation
  • Preferably with master's degree in Remote Sensing, Geomatics, GIS, Earth/Environmental Science, Geography, Engineering, Geospatial Intelligence, or related fields
  • Preferably with experience in Project Management
