About the role

  • Engineer responsible for preventive maintenance instructions in the wind sector. Collaborating with multi-functional teams to enhance performance and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Provide corrective and preventive maintenance instructions (and associated documents such as checklists or lifting plans) in compliance with EHS rules, engineering specifications and Service requirements
  • When drafting an instruction, lead technical reviews with the various stakeholders to compare scenarios, assess impacts and provide a recommendation up to validation of the final procedure
  • During troubleshooting of a technical issue detected on a turbine, provide the requested support and feedback in your area of expertise
  • Identify risks and gaps, and manage the action plan within your scope of responsibility
  • Maximise the use of standard tools/methods and propose specific tooling/method solutions when necessary
  • For new projects and product design changes, provide input data/service requirements and validate the feasibility of engineering proposals from a maintenance perspective
  • Regularly report activity tracking, KPIs and critical issues
  • Lead or participate in the technical support/training required on sites before and during operational phases
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of wind farm performance by collecting lessons learned within your scope
  • Participate in process improvement, quality system, business and cost-reduction initiatives

Requirements

  • Experience in the wind industry, preferably offshore (services, factory assembly, commissioning or transport & installation)
  • Engineering degree (generalist, mechanical or electrical) and/or advanced technician diploma with solid professional experience in the relevant scope
  • Ability to work in a global environment and in cross-functional teams with stakeholders located internationally
  • English: ability to analyze and produce technical documentation and to participate in daily audio conferences with stakeholders to gather information, discuss technical scenarios and make decisions
  • Proficient with common IT tools: PowerPoint / Excel / Smartsheet
  • Experience using 3D viewers
  • Knowledge and experience with software such as Unigraphics / SolidWorks / CATIA / ProE (Creo) is appreciated
  • Willingness and ability to travel to sites to provide support during critical operations when required
