About the role
- Civil Design and Installation Manager overseeing construction and commissioning activities for HVDC and substation projects in Germany. Ensuring compliance, leading teams, and managing projects with flexibility.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for construction, building and commissioning activities on the customer site
- Independently execute construction services for HVDC and large-scale projects in the AC substation area
- Coordinate and develop plant layouts and liaise with all internal engineering functions in an international project environment
- Ensure strict compliance with all relevant safety standards
- Regularly monitor construction progress by comparing planned vs. actual schedules
- Review, assess and negotiate additional claims submitted by subcontractors
Requirements
- Business-fluent German and English, both written and spoken
- Degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture, or a technical qualification with many years of relevant experience
- Experience in executing international large-scale projects and in leading subcontractors and personnel
- Confident application of relevant contractual frameworks such as the German Civil Code (BGB), VOB (Construction Contract Procedures) and HOAI (fee regulations for architects and engineers)
- Independent, structured and responsible working style
