About the role

  • Government Billing Analyst preparing and submitting invoices for government and commercial customers. Supporting Cash Operations activities in compliance with regulations and guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit invoices for government and commercial customers in compliance with contractual and FAR regulations
  • Review contract documents for information or changes related to invoicing
  • Maintain and update billing folders in accordance with established guidelines
  • Invoice customers in a timely and accurate manner
  • Analyze revenue reports during invoicing process to understand and communicate unbilled balances
  • Reconcile unbilled balances, including booked to billed analysis per applicable invoice
  • Assist with the collection process
  • Participate in special projects, as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree plus 2+ years of related experience
  • In lieu of degree, 6+ years of related experience is required
  • Experience supporting general accounting functions
  • Billing experience is required
  • Proficiency with computer use including relevant software applications (MS Outlook and Office, Excel)
  • Problem solving, analytical, and excel skills
  • Interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be a US Person
