About the role

  • Cybersecurity Engineer maintaining and enhancing digital forensic and cybersecurity toolsets for critical systems. Ensuring compliance while supporting the application-level administration for federal agency requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain specialized forensic tools and infrastructure
  • Implement application-level patches and conduct routine maintenance
  • Perform regular account administration for users
  • Collaborate with OCS teams for user role alignment
  • Apply configuration changes for tool performance optimization
  • Drive deployment of new systemic functionalities
  • Troubleshoot escalated issues and collaborate with IT security specialists

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in cyber security engineering
  • Hands-on experience with forensic tools like FTK and Magnet Axiom Cyber
  • Proficiency in cybersecurity infrastructure tools such as Palo Alto XSOAR and Splunk
  • Understanding of server environments and application security best practices
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
  • CompTIA Linux+ certification or equivalent preferred
  • At least one active Cyber certification (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, GIAC) preferred
  • Ability to adapt to changing cybersecurity threats
