About the role

  • Product Owner responsible for driving SEO-first product features at Game Lounge in a hybrid work environment. Overseeing backlog management, team collaboration, and user-centric product strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Translate Strategy into SEO Optimised Delivery
  • Work closely with Product representatives and stakeholders to translate product vision into a clear, actionable backlog that prioritises SEO impact
  • Prioritise features and initiatives based on business value, user impact, and organic growth potential
  • Define measurable success criteria and acceptance conditions for all initiatives, including SEO performance metrics
  • Support Product Managers in shaping the product roadmap by providing insight on SEO opportunities, user behaviour, and technical constraints
  • Backlog Management and Execution
  • Own and maintain the product backlog for assigned products or features
  • Ensure stories are well defined, refined, and ready for development with SEO and user implications included
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, and SEO teams to remove blockers and ensure smooth delivery
  • Ensure technical debt, SEO hygiene tasks, and performance improvements are prioritised alongside feature development
  • User and SEO Centricity
  • Represent the voice of the user while integrating SEO strategy into product decisions
  • Ensure initiatives address real user needs and deliver measurable outcomes, including organic traffic and engagement improvements
  • Advocate for best in class SEO practices alongside usability, accessibility, and overall product quality
  • Cross Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, Engineering, SEO, and other teams to deliver cohesive and SEO optimised product experiences
  • Communicate priorities, trade offs, and progress clearly across stakeholders
  • Facilitate alignment between teams to maximise product impact and organic search performance
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Contribute to improving delivery processes, practices, and frameworks
  • Support a culture of experimentation, data driven decisions, and validated learning
  • Monitor performance and outcomes, providing feedback to inform future product decisions
  • Maintain clear documentation for features, acceptance criteria, and SEO considerations to support team alignment

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role in a digital or tech environment, preferably SEO focused.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies, backlog management, and prioritisation frameworks
  • Demonstrated experience integrating SEO into product strategy, discovery, and delivery
  • Familiarity with user centric design principles and product discovery techniques
  • Excellent organisational, prioritisation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to product, technical & SEO teams + Stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data, including SEO metrics, to guide decisions
  • Experience working in fast paced, iterative, and collaborative environments where SEO is a core growth lever.
