About the role

  • Assistant Engineering Manager managing civil engineering and permitting tasks at GAI Consultants. Opportunity to lead a team in a hybrid work environment with a focus on energy and manufacturing sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Manage civil engineering and permitting tasks
  • Delegate and provide direction to engineering/drafting staff
  • Lead and review the development of calculations, drawings, and associated project deliverables
  • Develop proposals and monitor budgets
  • Collaborate with other engineering leads to schedule resource and QA/QC peer reviews
  • Independently conduct field condition assessments
  • Perform bid and construction phase services including responding to bidder questions and verifying change order documentation

Requirements

  • 5 – 10 years’ experience in relevant field
  • B.S. or M.S. Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) License, reciprocity in multiple states (preferred not required)
  • A current, valid driver’s license is required
