Responsibilities
Responsible for integrating business requirements into technology and ensuring smooth function of business operations as it pertains to the BCUC Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) Standards.
Analyze, design, configure, implement and maintain information systems, data centres, virtual infrastructures, networking components, and security.
Provides first-level technical support, system administration and system development.
Performs system maintenance; troubleshoots system failures, including communication equipment.
Develops manuals and system related procedures; administers basic system security on the OT/IT system.
Identifies user requirements/problems and monitors the overall integrity of FortisBC’s OT/IT environment and PACS.
Completes compliance related documentation for routine and non-routine compliance related tasks or change requests.
Requirements
Currently enrolled in a recognized diploma or greater program focusing on computing and/or networking principles.
Basic knowledge in programming/scripting and/or database query languages.
Solid interpersonal and customer service skills.
Solid analytical and organizational skills, including ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Strong attention to detail with focus on ensuring the delivery of high quality accurate and reliable data in a high-pressure environment.
Solid time management skills with the ability to multi-task deadline-driven tasks.
Solid ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
Solid oral and written communication and presentation skills.
