About the role
- Unified Communications Practitioner supporting voice collaboration systems for Ford Motor Company. Leading operational excellence and cloud migration initiatives in a global voice ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Deliver day‑to‑day operational excellence and L3 support across enterprise telephony and voice collaboration systems.
- Lead planning and design efforts, including architecture diagrams and system documentation.
- Draft, support, and execute structured change management activities.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to manage project scope and timelines.
- Engage directly with telecom carriers for escalations and provisioning.
- Contribute to and support on‑prem to SaaS cloud migration initiatives.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across PRI, SIP, SBCs, VoIP, and cloud platforms.
- Flexibility to support evening and weekend change windows based on business needs.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in IP and voice networking, enterprise telephony or unified communications.
- Experienced with CUCM, Unity, PRI, SIP, Telco Engagement with U.S. and international carriers.
- Proficient in Windows, MacOS, Linux CLI, Cisco routers and switches
- Knowledgeable in Cisco Voice Gateways, Cisco SBCs, Telco gateways.
- Knowledgeable in Cloud calling solutions, Webex multi‑tenant, MS Teams Phone.
- Proficient in VoIP, DNS, IP routing/switching, CoS/QoS.
- Project management and system design experience.
- Flexibility for nights and weekends.
- CCNA is a plus.
