About the role
- Cell Test Engineer – Student Worker partnering with cell engineers to improve battery-cell testing at Ford. Enhancing charging and driving experiences while advancing safety in electric vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Partner with cell engineers and vehicle performance teams to plan and execute battery-cell testing.
- Enhance customers’ charging and driving experiences and advance safety.
- Sharpen test precision and improve methodologies and measurement techniques for battery evaluation.
- Increase efficiency, reduce energy consumption, and lower battery cost through code and automation.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher in an engineering field with a focus on battery technology or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- Proficiency in Python or other programming languages. Experience with AI coding and AI agents.
- Knowledge of standard electronics tools including DC meters, power supplies, oscilloscopes.
- Experience with electrical systems (PCB's, resistors, voltage)
- Exceptional attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, creative thinking, and a proactive mindset.
- Passion for new technologies, AI, automation, and coding.
