Responsibilities
- Work on assignments where Python is the foundation of data-intensive and machine learning-driven solutions
- Design and build scalable data pipelines
- Develop and deploy machine learning models in production environments
- Work on simulation, optimization, and predictive systems
- Translate complex data challenges into robust technical architectures
- Take ownership of performance, maintainability, and reliability
- Contribute to knowledge sharing, technical discussions, and the long-term evolution of data and ML expertise within the team
- Participate in meetups, hackathons, and conferences
- Help shape engineering standards across projects
Requirements
- Python specialists with strong experience in data-driven environments
- At least 5 years of professional Python experience
- Worked as a Data Engineer, Data Scientist, or Machine Learning Engineer in production contexts
- Experience designing and building data pipelines
- Deploying machine learning models beyond proof-of-concept stage
- Comfortable with libraries and frameworks such as Pandas, scikit-learn, PySpark, Keras, TensorFlow, and Airflow
- Understand tooling around data streaming and processing such as Kafka
- Familiar with containerization with Docker
- Experience with machine learning techniques such as decision trees, random forests, deep learning models, simulations, and optimization algorithms
- Understanding of running models reliably in production environments
- Work with testing as part of engineering discipline
- Comfortable in Agile or DevOps-driven teams with CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases
- Familiar with cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, GCP)
- Communicate comfortably in Dutch.
