About the role
- Senior Site Reliability Engineer maintaining cloud infrastructure and ensuring service reliability for flaschenpost. Collaborating with development teams to uphold high software availability and metrics.
Responsibilities
- Deploy and maintain cloud infrastructure (Azure)
- Manage container clusters in the cloud (AKS)
- Automate infrastructure provisioning with Terraform
- Develop and support CI/CD pipelines
- Plan and implement monitoring and alerting strategies
- Implement backup and recovery solutions
- Manage databases, messaging and caching systems
- Collaborate with development teams to define criteria for scalable, fault-tolerant, and secure application development
Requirements
- Several years of experience running production workloads in the cloud
- Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)
- Experience with CI/CD strategies and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)
- Experience with monitoring/logging platforms (Datadog, Prometheus/Grafana, Elasticsearch/Kibana)
- Experience with version control tools and platforms (Git/GitHub)
- At least 4 years' experience working with GNU/Linux environments
- Experience working with Microsoft operating systems
- Experience with Kubernetes service mesh solutions (Linkerd, Istio)
- Experience operating MS SQL, Postgres & MySQL databases
- Strong team player, results-driven and proactive
