Responsibilities

  • Represent insured owners and lenders in resolving a wide range of real estate title issues
  • Manage an assigned caseload from the initial investigation to a final litigated resolution
  • Examining title, developing resolution and litigation strategies
  • Drafting and obtaining curative documents
  • Negotiating pre-suit settlements
  • Prosecuting or defending litigation through trial and appeal

Requirements

  • A seasoned litigator with a minimum of 5 years of real estate litigation experience
  • Experience with title insurance defense and the tripartite relationship is highly desirable
  • Ability to think outside the box and find creative resolutions
  • Strong critical thinking, decision making, and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
  • Juris Doctor Degree
  • Member of the California State Bar
