About the role

  • Senior Manager leading procurement projects in a strategic sourcing role at Fidelity. Collaborating with business and technology leaders for improved vendor strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Procurement projects of medium to high level complexity, typically in support of a single business group
  • Work with business partners to improve Fidelity's position to broker for the right products, at the right price and contractual terms
  • Strategize with key business and technology leaders to develop vendor and product strategies
  • Marshal the sourcing effort, including commercial and contract terms for each project
  • Align and coordinate with colleagues from risk-based groups to ensure risk mitigation of supplier contracts
  • Seek to achieve outstanding pricing with suppliers
  • Consistent education and enforcement of procurement and risk policies

Requirements

  • BS/BA in business administration or 5-8 years of equivalent experience in Procurement
  • Background in sourcing, contracting, or related experience in vendor or product management
  • Experience evaluating, negotiating and contracting with suppliers
  • Ability to lead/ influence cross-functional teams through procurement projects
  • Ability to assess risk and translate requirements to viable business solutions
  • Experience with business analytics, developing and presenting business cases and recommendations to decision-makers
  • Experience working with leaders at all levels, from the front lines to the C-Suite
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally, verbally and in writing, to all levels of the organization
  • Flexibility to changing needs and process requirements
  • Commitment to drive data stewardship to ensure data integrity
  • Excellent time management skills with an ability to multi-task
  • Extremely strong process orientation and demonstrated continuous improvement skills
  • Supplier relationship skills; continuously, but constructively, demanding of supplier performance
