About the role
- Senior Manager leading procurement projects in a strategic sourcing role at Fidelity. Collaborating with business and technology leaders for improved vendor strategies.
Responsibilities
- Lead Procurement projects of medium to high level complexity, typically in support of a single business group
- Work with business partners to improve Fidelity's position to broker for the right products, at the right price and contractual terms
- Strategize with key business and technology leaders to develop vendor and product strategies
- Marshal the sourcing effort, including commercial and contract terms for each project
- Align and coordinate with colleagues from risk-based groups to ensure risk mitigation of supplier contracts
- Seek to achieve outstanding pricing with suppliers
- Consistent education and enforcement of procurement and risk policies
Requirements
- BS/BA in business administration or 5-8 years of equivalent experience in Procurement
- Background in sourcing, contracting, or related experience in vendor or product management
- Experience evaluating, negotiating and contracting with suppliers
- Ability to lead/ influence cross-functional teams through procurement projects
- Ability to assess risk and translate requirements to viable business solutions
- Experience with business analytics, developing and presenting business cases and recommendations to decision-makers
- Experience working with leaders at all levels, from the front lines to the C-Suite
- Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally, verbally and in writing, to all levels of the organization
- Flexibility to changing needs and process requirements
- Commitment to drive data stewardship to ensure data integrity
- Excellent time management skills with an ability to multi-task
