About the role

  • Engineering Manager leading Risk & Compliance services for Paysafe products. Managing and developing software engineering teams through agile methodologies to deliver innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

  • You will lead one or two engineering teams (8-12 people each), co-located or spread across multiple locations, through Agile leadership, facilitating, hiring, coaching, mentoring, and hands-on involvement in the personal and career development of each of your direct reports
  • You’ll provide strong and determined leadership for your teams, enabling a culture of collaboration, innovation, engagement, and continuous improvement
  • You’ll own and manage the delivery cycle of our modern technical solutions, addressing the current business needs, and ensuring adherence to timelines, quality standards, and product requirements
  • Oversee the technical design and implementation while following the industry’s best practices and scalability requirements
  • Effectively communicate updates, progress, risks, blockers, and challenges to key stakeholders, including the executive leadership and product managers
  • Craft and implement a meaningful vision for the team, working closely with product managers, stakeholders, fellow peers and engineering managers, and other engineering teams
  • Promote agile software development and evangelize great engineering and organizational practices to improve team efficiency and facilitate rapid iterations and predictable delivery
  • Promote tools and processes supporting highly efficient software development
  • Actively collaborate with your colleagues and other leaders in the organization
  • Occasional work or learning-related travel

Requirements

  • Have actual experience in managing software engineers and engineering teams, and successfully delivering products in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Be knowledgeable and passionate about modern AI tools and developments, and their potential application in software engineering
  • Love helping, developing, and growing people and have a successful track record of having done so
  • Incorporate real-world data, KPIs and metrics into a continuous cycle of improvements and measure their impact
  • Be skilled in stakeholder and expectations management, effectively facilitating seamless collaboration with product managers, solution architects, and operational stakeholders
  • Have excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively talk to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Be knowledgeable and passionate about technology, performance, stability, security, and scalability
  • Have experience in building and supporting high-scale, high-availability systems
  • Have deep technical expertise and understanding of software development principles and methodologies
  • Be fluent in English
