About the role
- Engineer/Technician specializing in HVAC systems for shipbuilding in a well-established family business. Collaborating on technical concepts and specifications with a focus on quality and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Support for the specialist area of refrigeration, air conditioning and ventilation systems in shipbuilding
- Development of technical concepts and preparation of specifications for the approval and procurement processes
- Sizing and calculations of systems
- Definition, coordination and management of interfaces with suppliers
- Evaluation of offers and preparation of decision proposals with regard to technical risk and cost considerations
- Review and assessment of supplier design documentation
- Preparation and review of schematic piping diagrams based on construction specifications and classification society rules
- Creation and review of 3D models in the area of refrigeration, air conditioning and ventilation systems
- Technical coordination with customers and system suppliers
- Collaboration with other design departments and production
Requirements
- Degree in a technical or scientific discipline or completed technician qualification (m/f/d)
- Professional experience in the field and experience with integration in shipbuilding desirable
- Confident knowledge of regulations and standards, preferably classification society rules and SOLAS
- Proficient user of the design program AutoCAD and good MS Office skills
- Good technical English language skills, spoken and written
- Confident demeanor, ability to work independently, assertiveness, and strong communication and teamwork skills
