Responsibilities
- Designing and/or specifying mechanical and electro-mechanical parts and assemblies
- Supporting the Design Engineering team in the design and qualification of mechanical components
- Working with other disciplines to understand customer and market requirements
- Supporting products as they go through the Product Development Process
- Coordinating work with other individuals to meet project requirements
- Understanding drawing standards and creating Bills of Materials
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering field
- 5+ years of engineering experience
- Working knowledge in 2D/3D CAD design software (Inventor, CATIA, SolidWorks, Creo)
- Design experience with structural enclosures, mechanical assemblies, HVAC systems, mechanical piping, firefighting systems, and power generation
- Problem solving skills, root cause analysis, and corrective action experience
- Experience in Bill of Material creation and Change Notice processes
