About the role

  • Software Development Manager leading teams in Cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices at F5. Driving performance management, recruitment, and policy alignment for engineering teams in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Act as an advisor and coach to directs on their work and team dynamics
  • Performance manage directs to enable engineers to operate at their highest potential
  • Sourcing, interviewing and hiring candidates for open positions, onboarding, guidance to staff, conducting performance evaluations, developing performance improvement plans, and taking corrective action as needed
  • Align engineers to the corporate and organization’s strategy
  • Recommend changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect immediate organization(s)

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other technical degree
  • 10+ years software management experience
  • 2+ years leading or managing a team
  • Deep understanding about development and maintenance of DevOps Automation tools
  • Proficient in software life cycle like Build/Release/Deploy and specialized in cloud automation through open-source DevOps tools like Gitlab, Jenkins
  • Experience in Change management
