About the role

  • IT Security Administrator responsible for IT-Security solutions in a non-profit organization. Engaging in project management, team collaboration, and continuous improvement measures within security operations.

Responsibilities

  • Operation and development of IT security solutions (firewall, IDS, EDR, vulnerability management, SIEM, WAF, anomaly detection)
  • Evaluation of new technologies and components in the network and security area
  • Support for the Information Security Officer (ISB) on security-related matters
  • Collaboration with external partners
  • Design, execution, coordination, and implementation of IT security projects
  • Implementing continuous improvement measures for supported services
  • Enforcing IT governance and IT security requirements
  • Management of different security zones and security devices (DMZ, 2FA, certificates)
  • Planning and segmentation of complex data systems and networks
  • Handling and analysis of security-relevant incidents
  • Development and documentation of security processes
  • Providing 2nd-level support for systems and cross-system components

Requirements

  • Completed vocational training in IT, a degree in IT, or a comparable qualification with a focus on IT security
  • Relevant experience in administering firewall systems and network technologies
  • Several years of professional experience in IT security
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft and Linux environments
  • Good communication skills and a willingness to familiarize yourself with new areas of responsibility
  • Independent, self-driven working style and interest in cross-functional teamwork
  • Knowledge of conducting and supporting audits (e.g., ISO 27001, DORA)
  • Experience in creating and maintaining IT security documentation and knowledge of insurance supervisory law is an advantage
  • Proven experience implementing IT governance and compliance requirements
  • Experience or interest in operating and administering cloud infrastructures
