About the role
- Tax Accountant Associate responsible for preparing multi-jurisdictional tax returns and performing tax research. Join EY's internal tax department focusing on tax compliance and analysis.
Responsibilities
- Preparing and filing various types of tax returns including federal, state, local filings, estimated tax and extensions
- Assisting with the annual partner tax questionnaire process
- Performing analysis and reconciliation of tax reports
- Researching and analyzing processed accounting transactions
- Performing tax research and preparing responses for inquiries from various tax jurisdictions
- Identifying processing or tax issues and escalate accordingly
- Assisting with special projects as requested
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 0 to 3+ years of tax, accounting, finance or related experience
- Working knowledge of tax, finance, accounting principles, and internal controls
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft applications
- State and local tax experience preferred
