About the role
- Senior Software Engineer / DevOps Engineer working in Bern, Switzerland for an agile team. Responsibilities include developing microservices and automating BPMN processes.
Responsibilities
- Design, implementation, testing and operation (DevOps) of microservices
- Modeling and automation of BPMN processes and integration into messaging / REST workflows
- Participation in a Scrum team within a SAFe context and close collaboration with other teams
- Implementation using the following technologies: Java / Spring Boot, Kafka and Solace (messaging), REST, relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL), TypeScript / Angular 19+, HTML, CSS
- Testing: JUnit 5, Mockito, AssertJ
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science (ETH, university, university of applied sciences) or equivalent qualification
- Several years of experience with Java and Spring Boot
- Proven experience in BPMN modeling and automation (e.g., Flowable)
- Experience with relational databases
- Knowledge of message-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka, Solace) and event messaging within BPMN processes
- Quick grasp of complex domain and technical systems
- Team player with a high degree of autonomy and quality awareness
- Good communication skills
- Business-fluent German and good English skills
