About the role

  • Engineer - Methods developing manufacturing plans and tooling requirements for aerospace projects. Collaborating with production teams in a dynamic environment located in Montreal, QC.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the manufacturing plan and tooling requirements
  • Estimate assembly cycle times, production hours, and part quantities
  • Conduct feasibility studies related to manufacturing automation
  • Define assembly breakdowns and part separation
  • Perform design reviews and deliver technical presentations
  • Be responsible for planning, sequencing, and maintaining methods work instructions
  • Provide technical support to production and act as a technical interface between teams
  • Investigate, analyze, and recommend corrective actions
  • Perform detailed analyses and provide information necessary to submit engineering change requests
  • Incorporate engineering dispositions into rework instructions

Requirements

  • Strong ability to interpret 2D engineering drawings and 3D models
  • Excellent knowledge of Bombardier aerospace tools and standards
  • Knowledge of MRB (Material Review Board) processes in aerospace is an asset
  • Excellent understanding of aircraft structural and systems installation technical requirements
  • In-depth understanding of aircraft systems, installation sequencing, and functional test procedure requirements
  • Excellent knowledge of aerospace materials and hardware
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive mindset and positive attitude
  • Valid work authorization to work in Canada is required
