About the role
- Project Accountant managing financial project reporting and analysis for engineering projects in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage project accounting activities including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- Prepare and review monthly project financial reports and variance analyses.
- Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies and client contract requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers to monitor financial performance and resolve discrepancies.
- Process invoices, track billings, and manage accounts receivable for assigned projects.
- Support internal audits and assist with year-end financial processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in project accounting or financial management, preferably in engineering or construction.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and project cost control.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (Deltek or similar preferred).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- CPA designation or working toward CPA is an asset.
