About the role
- Join EXP's environmental and geotechnical team in Laval or Montreal. Work on various projects for public and private clients in the metropolitan area.
Responsibilities
- Carry out environmental site assessments or environmental characterizations (Phase I, II & III)
- You will be partially assigned to municipal projects
- Manage monitoring mandates during environmental remediation works
- Conduct environmental monitoring
- Prepare technical documentation and various reports
- Participate in preparing service proposals
- Prepare work programs
- Contribute to the preparation of environmental technical plans and specifications
- Plan and coordinate the implementation and execution of on-site works
- Provide technical support to other team professionals and environmental technicians
- Any other duties related to the position.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in geology, civil engineering, geological engineering, or other equivalent qualification
- Member of the Ordre des Géologues du Québec (OGQ) or the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
- Membership in AQVE (an asset)
- Minimum of 8 years' relevant experience
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and practice standards (notably the RPRT, RVMR and the Intervention Guide) of the Ministère de l'Environnement et de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques
- Willingness to perform fieldwork as required
- Versatile and willing to work on a variety of project types
- Possession of the Construction Site Health and Safety card (ASP)
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
