Senior Consultant in Telecommunications practice supporting Retail Payments strategy and operations. Focusing on policy review and senior stakeholder engagement in hybrid work model.
Responsibilities
Support clients in their Retail Payments strategy and operations across B2C and SMB segments
Engage with senior stakeholders and develop strategies to support business and risk decisions
Evaluate retail payments and collections processes and identify gaps
Develop insight-driven recommendations to improve recoveries, compliance, and customer experience
Deliver executive-ready storylines and presentations to highlight operational performance insights
Requirements
Bachelors / Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Engineering or a related quantitative field from a top-tier university, or an MBA with relevant domain experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in Payments Strategy and/or Operations, preferably in Strategy or Advisory/Consulting roles
Deep domain understanding across the retail payments lifecycle including customer segmentation, authorization and settlement workflows, dispute resolution and recovery strategy
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Strong client engagement and consulting skills with ability to influence senior stakeholders by creating compelling storylines
Excellent communication, presentation and storytelling skills with a data-driven orientation, and comfort operating in fast-evolving, ambiguous environments
Experience with industry standard payments and collections technologies
Relevant certifications in Credit Risk, Fraud Risk, Risk Management or Payments (e.g., CFE, FRM, PRM, ETA CPP) are a plus
Prior consulting or advisory experience in telecom or adjacent industries
Experience operating in a Second Line of Defense or policy / risk oversight role
Familiarity with relevant regulatory and compliance frameworks (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR, telecom consumer protection regulations) is a plus
Working knowledge of data visualization software such as Tableau, Power BI and Looker
