Responsibilities
- Support clients in their Retail Payments strategy and operations across B2C and SMB segments
- Engage with senior stakeholders and develop strategies to support business and risk decisions
- Evaluate retail payments and collections processes and identify gaps
- Develop insight-driven recommendations to improve recoveries, compliance, and customer experience
- Deliver executive-ready storylines and presentations to highlight operational performance insights
Requirements
- Bachelors / Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Engineering or a related quantitative field from a top-tier university, or an MBA with relevant domain experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Payments Strategy and/or Operations, preferably in Strategy or Advisory/Consulting roles
- Deep domain understanding across the retail payments lifecycle including customer segmentation, authorization and settlement workflows, dispute resolution and recovery strategy
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong client engagement and consulting skills with ability to influence senior stakeholders by creating compelling storylines
- Excellent communication, presentation and storytelling skills with a data-driven orientation, and comfort operating in fast-evolving, ambiguous environments
- Experience with industry standard payments and collections technologies
- Relevant certifications in Credit Risk, Fraud Risk, Risk Management or Payments (e.g., CFE, FRM, PRM, ETA CPP) are a plus
- Prior consulting or advisory experience in telecom or adjacent industries
- Experience operating in a Second Line of Defense or policy / risk oversight role
- Familiarity with relevant regulatory and compliance frameworks (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR, telecom consumer protection regulations) is a plus
- Working knowledge of data visualization software such as Tableau, Power BI and Looker
