About the role

  • QA Administrator supporting underwriting teams within London insurance market focusing on Company Market and Lloyd’s Syndicate environments. Involves operational support and collaboration with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to underwriting teams across multiple lines of business
  • Support the processing of risk set-ups, endorsements, renewals, and policy documentation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Act as a point of contact for offshore underwriting support teams, helping to resolve queries and clarify instructions
  • Assist in ensuring tasks are completed in line with agreed SLAs and operating procedures
  • Liaise with underwriters and operations colleagues to support smooth workflow and reduce delays
  • Maintain consistent operating standards across Company Market and Lloyd’s Syndicate environments
  • Support underwriting teams across lines of business including Marine, Financial Institutions, Aviation, Property, Cargo, and T&L
  • Help keep process documentation and knowledge materials up to date
  • Assist with underwriting operations processes including submission intake, policy administration, bordereaux handling, sanctions and compliance checks, policy issuance and documentation
  • Support data quality checks to ensure information entered into underwriting and policy systems is accurate and complete
  • Help identify recurring issues or bottlenecks and escalate where appropriate
  • Support basic reporting and tracking of operational volumes and turnaround times

Requirements

  • Experience in underwriting operations, insurance administration, or a similar support role within the London or Company Specialty Market
  • Basic understanding of Company Market and/or Lloyd’s environments (full SME knowledge not required)
  • Familiarity with London Market systems such as Eclipse, PPL, Whitespace, or similar is desirable but not essential
  • Understanding of the policy lifecycle (submissions, endorsements, renewals)
  • Strong attention to detail and an organised approach to work
  • Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders
  • Comfortable working in a structured, process-driven environment
  • Willingness to learn, develop, and build deeper knowledge of London Market operations
