About the role

• ETL Developer managing and developing SQL queries and SSIS packages for data extraction and transformation. Collaborating with team members to enhance software applications and improve data processing.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify and test various SQL queries, stored procedures and views for obtaining data from diverse source systems and platforms
• Design, Develop and maintain SSIS packages for data extraction, transformation and Loading (ETL).
• Assist in the roll-out of new SQL, SSIS based applications, problem fixes, and enhancements of software
• Follow database best practices to improve the operational reporting environment while focusing on resolving problems raised by team members, stakeholders and end users
• Develops original and/or complex code in T-SQL/ SQL
• Design and develop new SQL code as part of an ETL process
• Improve SQL procedures, Window services / .NET programs which transform and load data
• Responsible for data profiling, source-target mappings, ETL development, SQL tunings and optimization, testing and implementation
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including demonstrated ability to effectively and professionally communicate with others, including situations where you may disagree with people

Requirements

• Bachelor’s/Master's degree in economics, mathematics, computer science/engineering, operations research or related analytics areas; candidates with BA/BS degrees in the same fields from the top tier academic institutions are also welcome to apply
• 5-7 years in SQL Server and SSIS Development.
• Strong hands-on experience with SQL,SSIS (creating and managing ETL packages, Data Transformations and Error Handling).
• Experience working with ETL on Rest API’s, JSON, XML Formats
• Knowledge of Data Warehousing Concepts and ETL best practices.
• Familiarity with SQL Server Agent Jobs and Automation.
• Good critical thinking and problem solving skills.
• Strong record of achievement, solid analytical ability, and an entrepreneurial hands-on approach to work
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, and presentation skills
• Able to work in fast pace continuously evolving environment and ready to take up uphill challenges
• Is able to understand cross cultural differences and can work with clients across the globe
