Cyber Security Analyst within the Cyber Security Governance, Risk and Compliance team. Supporting effective management and oversight of cyber risk at Heathrow Airport.
About the role
- Analyst operating and developing the SOC, monitoring security systems, identifying threats, and promoting cybersecurity measures for a technology multinational company.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the operation and development of the SOC, acting as the point of contact for security incidents.
- On a daily basis, will monitor security systems, as well as analyze, prioritize and remediate threats.
- Will also perform regular vulnerability assessments across the infrastructure, privilege audits, policy and guideline reviews, and support the implementation of preventive measures and the evolution of IT security infrastructure.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science with a strong focus on IT security (or equivalent qualification)
- More than 5 years of professional experience as a security analyst/engineer
- Solid knowledge of global IT infrastructure and network architecture
- General knowledge of IT threats, threat prevention, cutting-edge security technologies, network security, security architecture, enterprise security solutions, etc.
- Experience in vulnerability management (knowledge of different vendors, systems, scanning techniques and remediation)
- Endpoint detection and response (knowledge of different solutions and techniques, experience in incident response, etc.)
- Experience working in a SOC team (log analysis, SIEM, incident response, etc.)
- Log/SIEM management (SIEM operation – Rapid7 InsightIDR, event analysis and response)
- Knowledge of Windows
- Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum is a plus)
- Soft skills: Good communication, team spirit and collaboration; agile, results-oriented mindset
- Ability to work in cross-functional, self-organizing, autonomous teams
- Willingness to travel internationally if required
- Language: Advanced/Fluent English
