About the role
- SAP Application Manager in a regional utility company responsible for SAP S/4HANA systems and project management. Ensuring system support, requirements analysis, and IT project planning.
Responsibilities
- Ensure system and application support for SAP S/4HANA (ERP and HCM) as well as various surrounding IT systems
- Coordinate ongoing operations including patch management, license metering, and runtime optimization
- Responsible for analyzing, documenting, and aligning the requirements of the business units
- Advise business units on IT-specific topics and processes
- Plan and manage IT projects, including coordination of external service providers and project workshops
- Monitor operational activities, handle ticket processing, and manage service providers based on KPIs according to ITIL standards
Requirements
- Completed university or technical college degree in a relevant field, or completed vocational training with appropriate additional qualification
- Several years of professional experience in system and application support as well as IT operations
- Solid knowledge of commercial business processes and experience advising business departments
- Experience in project management and in managing external service providers
- Very good skills in the analysis, design and implementation of new requirements in the IT environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, high service orientation, and good English language skills
- High level of abstraction and logical-analytical thinking ability
