About the role

• SAP Basis Consultant managing SAP system operations and performance optimization. Active participation in IT projects and development of operational automation concepts.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the smooth operation, monitoring and performance optimization of SAP systems
• Planning and execution of maintenance tasks, applying patches, support packages and release updates
• Performing system copies, client copies and setting up new SAP instances
• Administration and support of Linux base systems (Red Hat)
• Active involvement in IT projects and development of concepts to automate operational processes

Requirements

• Degree in (Business) Informatics or comparable qualification
• Several years of solid experience in SAP Basis administration and consulting
• Expertise in administering Linux operating systems
• Scripting skills are a plus
• Experience operating and maintaining clustered SAP system landscapes
• Practical experience with or in-depth knowledge of the SAP HANA database
• Structured, solution-oriented working style with strong initiative and communication skills
