Specialist Architect leading design teams for ESB's net-zero projects in Ireland. Responsible for architectural inputs and regulatory compliance while mentoring junior staff.
Responsibilities
Deliver enhanced economic and sustainable designs on construction projects as part of ESB’s NetZero 2040 Strategy.
Procure, appoint, lead, and manage multi-disciplinary teams in the delivery of all stages in life cycle of building projects.
Provide strong leadership and direction in the development of Architectural Design & Building Compliance capability within the organisation.
Deliver the role of Project Supervisor Design Process on assigned projects.
Provide strong Stakeholder Management by identifying, maintaining, and fostering strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Fully embrace the ESB Safety Culture across all activities by taking ownership and demonstrating visible commitment to safety.
Requirements
Minimum (+ 7 years) experience as a consultant architect, and a project portfolio demonstrating strong design skills.
Degree in Architecture or a related discipline, NFQ Level 8 or equivalent recognised qualification and Registered Architect status.
Comprehensive understanding of relevant Irish regulations, legislation, policy and guidance.
Demonstrable experience in the successful delivery of large, complex architectural projects.
Demonstrable experience in Contract Administration, and knowledge of the regulatory framework of Planning, Building Control and general regulations.
Demonstrable competence and experience in safety management.
Strong stakeholder management skills and proven track record of managing internal and external stakeholders.
Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD and REVIT (desirable).
Proficiency in the BCMS platform with experienced understanding of the BC(A)R process (desirable).
A strong commercial and project management capability (desirable).
