About the role
- Embedded Software Engineer owning the software lifecycle for at-home blood analyser in oncology. Collaborating on high-quality solutions to enhance cancer care delivery and patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Own the full software lifecycle of our at-home blood analyser, from design and development to testing, deployment, and debugging.
- Drive the verification and validation (V&V) of the device firmware, ensuring it meets the stringent requirements for patient safety and medical device standards (such as IEC 62304).
- Enhance and maintain the existing software for our life-changing products, ensuring robustness and reliability for our users.
- Collaborate closely with other teams to deliver integrated, high-quality solutions that improve patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in C++ and Python for developing on embedded systems.
- Proven experience delivering high-quality embedded software , ideally within a fast-paced startup or scale-up environment.
- Direct experience working within a regulated environment , with hands-on application of medical device software standards like IEC 62304.
- Hands-on experience with modern software development practices , including version control (e.g., Git), continuous integration (CI), and automated testing for embedded systems.
- Experience developing for embedded Linux (e.g., Yocto, Buildroot).
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or computer science field, or equivalent professional experience.
