Regional Engineer providing engineering support and ensuring safe operations while collaborating with teams and managing projects for Enbridge's assets in the Midwest.
Responsibilities
Provide engineering support to field personnel to ensure the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of region facilities.
Participate in Region safety program and station and construction site audits.
Perform assigned duties during emergency response activities.
Manage small operating and capital projects, developing and managing the project from the budget proposal stage through construction and closeout.
Provide support to Project teams in developing and implementing larger projects in the region.
Assist Pipeline Maintenance Services, Maintenance, and Operations on technical and compliance issues.
Collaborate with technical standards group to ensure engineering standards, equipment specifications, and engineering construction specifications meet U.S. regulatory requirements and reflect U.S. practices.
Establish working relationships with a cross section of partners within the company, equipment manufacturers, vendors, and services providers.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Civil, or Chemical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university or college.
Minimum 4 years engineering experience.
Ability to solve technical problems as they arise and make decisions on how a problem’s solution will impact the immediate problem and the system.
Be able to regularly shift between planned and unplanned activities, while remaining effective despite the resulting disruptive effects.
Shown capability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments and meet established deadlines while managing stakeholder expectations.
Strong written communications abilities, including good spelling and grammar are essential for this position.
