About the role
- Senior Software Tester at Emerson testing the DeltaV MES platform software. Collaborating with developers and participating in agile activities.
Responsibilities
- Test software in collaborative fashion with software developers and testers.
- Design, write and execute automated test cases using industry-standard frameworks and tools to ensure high quality software releases.
- Help others make sense of what is relevant and what is unimportant when making sense of complex situations.
- Foster a creative atmosphere and work with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and Marketing to effectively support the development and test needs of the software. Participate in agile activities like sprint planning and retrospectives and share a passion for problem solving.
- Ability to quickly understand and evaluate a complex and evolving software system.
- Develop and implement test automation for DeltaV MES products
- Provide technical leadership and support the creation of complex software tests.
Requirements
- BS in Computer/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or any STEM-related courses
- 3+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance
- 2+ years of experience with Selenium WebDriver and unit test frameworks (NUnit, xUnit or MSTest) for browser automation
- Experience standing up testing environments and troubleshooting configuration environment settings
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future
