About the role
- Material Planner ensuring timely delivery of materials in Chennai, Tamil Nadu for Emerson's India Pressure Management Business unit. Active collaboration with supply chain and optimization of lead time for production.
Responsibilities
- Active involvement with Master Planner and Supply Chain team to optimize Product Prospectus lead time
- Review newly scheduled orders for lead time alignment between customer requests vs supplier delivery
- Ensure material availability as per need by date
- Ensure purchase orders are released within 2 days of demand release
- Collaborate with supply chain and mitigate challenges with respect to delivery of materials
- Weekly and monthly reviews with suppliers on delivery performance
- Estimate projected inventory and monitor actual receipts and consumption
- Ensure supplier invoices are paid on time and resolve pending issues
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical field
- Minimum 10 plus years of demonstrated proficiencies required
- Knowledge of Valve industry

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Power BI, Share point)
