Manager responsible for leading product management in IIoT-based inspection technology. Driving strategy, roadmap, and team development in Emerson’s Corrosion & Erosion business in Crawley, UK.
Responsibilities
Lead and develop the global product management and marketing team for the Corrosion & Erosion portfolio, setting clear expectations, building a “getting things done” culture, and cultivating an inclusive, supportive environment where people can do their best work.
Define and manage the product roadmap and portfolio strategy, including product positioning, tiering, and investment priorities, to deliver sustainable revenue growth, profitability, and market share gains.
Use data and insight to understand the current business state—analyzing market trends, competitive dynamics, and portfolio performance—and recommend actions that drive growth for individual product lines and the wider business.
Lead new product development activities, incorporating customer feedback, market intelligence, and financial targets, while partnering with engineering, software, operations, quality, and other functions to align solutions with customer needs and business objectives.
Partner with Sales, World Area Marketing, Business Development, and Integrated Marketing teams to identify opportunities and execute campaigns and customer-facing initiatives that support growth goals across global markets.
Champion the voice of the customer by driving timely resolution of product feedback and Rapid Response actions, working closely with global quality teams to implement product safety and quality notifications where required.
Support development and execution of pricing and discount strategies, monitoring volume, price, and discount trends, and contributing to programs that balance competitiveness with profitability.
Actively participate in the Business Unit S&OP process, ensuring demand, supply, and portfolio decisions are aligned with strategic growth objectives.
Engage with European and global product line leadership to shape strategy and support profitable growth and market participation in line with Emerson’s long-term vision.
Build strong relationships with key stakeholders in product companies and across regions, recognizing the importance of close collaboration between Product Management, Sales Leadership, and other functions.
Provide people leadership for the team: acting as a role model, managing day-to-day performance, coaching and motivating team members, and ensuring effective collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Partner with the Product & Software Director and HR to recruit, onboard, develop, and promote team members, including leading performance and development processes, creating succession plans, and designing growth opportunities for key talent.
Promote high employee satisfaction and retention by fostering psychological safety, supporting wellbeing, and creating clear paths for career development.
Act as a Trade Compliance User by following Emerson’s Trade Compliance procedures, ensuring that all relevant transactions are screened and recorded appropriately, and escalating any concerns to the local Gatekeeper.

Requirements
Experience in product management, marketing, engineering, R&D, or a related technical field
Strong communication and presentation skills
Commitment to inclusive leadership and team development
Ability to use data, market insights, and customer inputs to support decisions.
Ability to work effectively in a global, matrixed environment and influence across functions
Knowledge of corrosion and erosion technologies or similar industrial solutions
Experience leading global product launches or digital product initiatives
Background in pricing strategies, S&OP or commercial programmes
Experience in leading people, developing distributed or global teams.
