About the role

  • Lead Engineer developing and testing simulation models for power plants at Emerson. Collaborating with teams to deliver high-quality digital twin simulators for customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Person should be able to lead Digital Twin projects.
  • Modeling, Testing, Tuning & debugging of all systems in assigned project.
  • Review & submit the Data collection list to PM.
  • Review FDS as per the project scope & submit to project Manager.
  • Review Marked-up P&ID's as per the project scope and submit to PM.
  • Conduct Pre Factory Acceptance Test, Factory Acceptance Test & Site Acceptance Test of the assigned project and fulfill the Customer requirement as per scope of the projects.
  • Review all the quality related checklists for assigned project. Perform quality checks during various stages of design, testing and commissioning.
  • Conduct & Support expert review of Digital twin project.
  • Support & assist Team in modeling, integration & testing.
  • Prepare, Review and Submit Project’s Daily, Weekly, Monthly Reports in details and on-time.
  • Skilled to identify the Project related risks and the respective mitigation plan before starting the project execution.
  • Perform work within established budgetary and schedule requirements.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned time to time.
  • Raise & discuss critical issues to Manager/Project Manager if any.
  • Ensure proper review by Customer to secure full compliance with specification requirements.
  • Learn new skills as per the department’s requirement.
  • Provide support to other teams in tuning & debugging of systems/sub-system.
  • Ensure timely submission of project progress reports to functional managers.
  • Understanding PLC system and third-party communications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Power Plant Engineering with 6-8 years of experience in Coal / Combined Cycle Power Plant operation/modeling
  • Strong computer skills
  • Minimum English language skills - speaking and writing
  • Strong interpersonal skills and confident to interact with clients
  • Able to work in a team
  • Able to travel and work abroad 30-40% of work time.
