Responsibilities
Design and improve positive temperature coefficient (PTC) conductive polymer systems used in self-regulating heating cables.
Innovate new materials, formulations, compounds, and extrusion processes that elevate product performance.
Evaluate, test, and validate new conductive polymer solutions to ensure reliability and consistency.
Develop and refine manufacturing processes that deliver repeatable, high‑quality outcomes.
Collaborate closely with manufacturing operations to support production implementation.
Lead product safety recognition and interface with global certification agencies.
Participate in industry standards councils and relevant professional organizations.
Support training programs for sales, applications, and internal teams.
Analyze quality, reliability, and production metrics to drive continuous improvement.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures and perform additional duties as assigned.
Work overtime when required.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Polymer Chemistry.
At least 5 years of professional experience in materials engineering, polymer chemistry, or a related field.
Strength in data analysis, Design for Six Sigma methodologies, and quality control principles.
Experience with plastics and materials compounding, formulation, and extrusion.
Familiarity with E‑beam technology for polymer cross‑linking.
Working understanding of electrical controls and heating cable systems.
Ability to travel up to 10% domestically, with some international travel including overnight stays.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
Strong collaboration skills and effective team communication.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Goal‑oriented mindset and strong technical competency.
