About the role
- BI Developer Advisor responsible for developing analytic applications and reporting tools. Collaborating with customers to gather requirements and implementing solutions while mentoring team members.
Responsibilities
- participate in all phases of the design and development life cycle of analytic applications and reporting tools
- maintain active relationships with customers to determine business requirements
- proactively address customer issues and implement solutions
- collaborate with engineers for creative ideas for Web portals
- identify and manage risks and develop contingency plans
- partner with business, architecture and infrastructure and oversee all service levels
- develop and define application scope and objectives
- analyze and evaluate detailed business and technical requirements
- mentor others on coding standards and perform code reviews
- supervise others on developing application internals for usability, reliability and scalability requirements
- ensure system testing is completed and meets the test plan requirements
- coordinate integration activities with other IT for successful implementation and support
- assess current status and support BI planning efforts
- mentor and assist in training initiatives and perform estimates for costs and impacts
- manage small to medium projects and potentially lead global projects
Requirements
- BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
- minimum of 5 years experience with multi-platform, two or more BI applications and/or multiple Business Intelligence tools
- multi-database and multi-language experience strongly preferred
