About the role

• Internship focused on developing foundation models for tabular data at Ekimetrics, a leader in data science and AI. Engage in advanced IA research and collaborate with industry partners.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a literature review on state-of-the-art models and techniques in deep learning for tabular data, with a particular focus on foundation models.
• Develop and experiment with architectures such as CARTE, which uses graph representations to contextualize tabular inputs; TabR, which incorporates nearest-neighbor mechanisms; and TabPFN, a transformer-based model for fast classification of tabular data.
• Collaborate with your manager (N+1) to design, implement, and evaluate model prototypes on real-world datasets.
• Share results with the internal team and contribute to the development of long-term strategies for deploying foundation models to production.

Requirements

• Currently in the final year of a Master’s program or engineering school, with a strong background in machine learning, statistics, and programming.
• Experience with Python, deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow), and familiarity with tabular data analysis.
• Knowledge of advanced machine learning techniques, including transformers and graph neural networks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an interest in developing scalable and high-performance AI models.
• Proficiency in English.
