About the role

  • Senior Policy Advisor driving global macro and finance resilience strategies at E3G. Leading advocacy and stakeholder engagement for climate-related financial reforms.

Responsibilities

  • Lead on E3G’s strategy and thought leadership on financial system reform at international level, working closely with the Global Macro & Finance Resilience Programme Lead
  • Build E3G’s profile on macro and finance policies’ reforms, developing propositions and leading advocacy to strengthen E3G’s network among key decision makers
  • Monitor key policy debates and developments internationally related to financial system reform and interpreting them in the context of E3G’s work, focusing on key topics such as fiscal, monetary and regulatory policy and on key multilateral forums such as G7, G20, UNFCCC, and others
  • Author or co-author knowledge products, such as public and private briefs, blogs, etc., and develop timely analysis for both internal and external audiences in the above-mentioned areas
  • Foster collaborative relationships with key stakeholders (policymakers, businesses, civil society, at the national, and international levels) at international, and national levels
  • Work with E3G and external colleagues to organize meetings, workshops, and other dissemination activities
  • Representing E3G at workshops, conferences and other events to promote our mission and objectives
  • Monitor and manage project deliverables, working with team members to deliver according to work plans and milestones, track implementation and respond to funder requests
  • Provide support for fundraising, funder reporting, and program management
  • Any other reasonable management request

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in economics, finance, public policy or a related field
  • Approximately five to seven years of experience working in economic policy, macroeconomic analysis, international development, or a similar field
  • Demonstrable experience of defining strategies and delivering time-bound results, preferably in an organisation involved with economic and financial policy
  • Very strong analytical, oral and writing skills using English to a fluent or native level
  • Competence in one or more additional EU languages will be an advantage (French, German)
  • Strong experience of stakeholder engagement, including with government officials
  • Experience of briefing senior decision-makers and of convening high-level discussions is preferred
  • Fluent or native English language skills
  • Experience of communicating using a range of different media
  • High level of initiative; positive, organised, resilient attitude and ability to deliver high quality work on time
  • Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally as required
