About the role
- COBOL Developer maintaining mainframe applications at Deutsche WertpapierService Bank AG. Responsible for production support and system development in a cross-functional team.
Responsibilities
- Production support for our in-house applications related to securities holdings management
- Maintenance, support, and further development of our systems using COBOL
- Identification and resolution of root causes and defects
- Testing and managing go-live activities
- Collaboration in agile, cross-functional teams
- Regular meetings to review current status and new tasks
- Taking on on-call duties as needed (weekends & public holidays)
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of COBOL programming and DB2
- Experience in supporting and developing mainframe applications
- Ideally experience with GitLab or willingness to learn it
- Business-fluent German (C1)
- Good English skills (B2)
- Experience in a heavily regulated environment is a plus
- Knowledge of Java is an advantage
- Continuous learning and knowledge transfer within the team is expected
