Responsibilities
Responsibility for the architecture of our microservices — from design to implementation
Use of a modern Java-based technology stack (including AWS Cloud, Kubernetes and Kafka streaming)
Analyze and assess applications for efficiency and resilience
Develop sustainable architecture and design guidelines
Conduct reviews, particularly to ensure compliance with architecture and design specifications
Trusted, solution-oriented collaboration with various teams (developers, architects, enterprise architecture)
Support knowledge transfer within and across teams
Occasional business travel to other locations
Requirements
Degree or vocational training with a focus on computer science or an equivalent qualification
Extensive experience in developing and architecting complex enterprise applications and microservices
Strong understanding of architecture patterns (Event-Driven Architecture, Domain-Driven Design)
Familiarity with agile project work and a desire to advance agile methodology
Excellent Java skills
Development of Spring Boot applications with Kafka
Knowledge of REST / SOAP / MQ
Experience with Oracle / PostgreSQL
Knowledge of Angular, TypeScript
Knowledge of container and cloud technologies (especially Kubernetes)
Test automation (Gauge) and GitOps
Very good language skills in German (C1) and English
