About the role

  • COBOL developer maintaining and evolving mainframe applications. Joining a financial service leader to build and implement a future-proof technology stack.

Responsibilities

  • Independently maintain, support and enhance systems using COBOL
  • Analyze incoming requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Identify and resolve root causes of defects, and perform testing and go-live activities
  • Collaborate in agile, cross-functional teams to drive topics forward
  • Participate in regular meetings (daily stand-ups, reviews, refinements) to clarify status and new tasks
  • Provide on-call support (weekends & public holidays) as needed

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of COBOL programming and DB2
  • Fluent German language skills (C1) and good English skills (B2)
  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment
