- Engineering Technologist III providing technical expertise and leadership at Duke Energy. Supporting project goals through effective planning and collaboration with builders and developers.
Responsibilities
- Build strong customer connections
- Communicates directly and frequently with builder/developer contacts to apprize project plans and status
- Adjust plans quickly and effectively to uphold standards while supporting project goals and objectives
- Provides deep technical expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis and resolution of problems in area of expertise
- Ensures accomplishment of business goals and objectives through effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling and monitoring of work activities
- Independently prepares thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations and sketches
- Conducts engineering and related studies
- Strives to continually improve job-related, technical and professional knowledge, skills and performance

Requirements
- Bachelor’s of Science degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology AND two (2)+ years minimum of related experience, OR Associate’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology AND four (4)+ years minimum of related experience, OR In lieu of degrees and experience listed above, high school diploma/GED AND six (6) years minimum of related experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology preferred
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Experience in the utility industry
- Able to effectively apply basic principles of project management
