About the role

Responsibilities

  • Participation in software projects (incident reporting system and Smart Rescue) to develop IT solutions for our fire service customers
  • Collaborate on the design and implementation of backend services and interfaces
  • Operation and maintenance of systems, including monitoring
  • Technical assessment of customer requirements in projects
  • Defining the technology roadmap as part of product development

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science or Business Informatics, or completed vocational training as an IT specialist plus additional specialized training and several years of professional experience
  • Experience in backend or full‑stack development
  • Experience working with relational databases (e.g., CockroachDB)
  • Experience with the technology stack: Go, Kubernetes, Kafka, Python, AWS, PHP
  • Experience with Clean Code principles, SOLID, and agile working methods
  • German language skills at C2 level and confident technical English skills
