About the role

• Frontend Team Lead managing a team of frontend engineers to build legal accounting products at CORTO. Leading technical direction while promoting teamwork and best practices in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Frontend Engineering team responsible for building and evolving CORTO’s legal accounting products.
• Split your time between supporting and growing engineers, driving delivery, and setting technical direction and standards.
• Work closely with the Principal Engineer to evolve the architecture and long-term strategy while taking ownership of day-to-day team leadership and delivery outcomes.
• Manage, mentor, and grow a team of frontend engineers.
• Ensure consistent, predictable delivery across projects.
• Establish and enforce best practices across React, TypeScript, and frontend architecture.
• Partner with backend engineers for clean API design and integration.

Requirements

• 6+ years of frontend engineering experience
• Strong expertise in React and TypeScript
• Experience with modern React frameworks (Next.js preferred)
• Proven experience leading or mentoring engineers
• Strong understanding of frontend architecture and scalable UI systems
• Experience working in cross-functional product teams
• Ability to balance technical quality with delivery pragmatism
