About the role
- Assisting data team in extracting and processing data for strategic projects in financial sector. Developing skills in Data Engineering during the process.
Responsibilities
- Support the extraction of data from various sources (databases, APIs, spreadsheets, etc.).
- Perform data cleaning and preprocessing to ensure consistency and quality.
- Help organize and structure datasets and databases.
- Assist the team with maintenance and improvements of the Data Lake environment.
- Develop and document scripts to automate repetitive tasks related to data processing or analysis.
- Keep clear and organized documentation of performed activities.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to improve processes and projects.
- Commit to learning new tools, techniques, and programming languages (Python, SQL, Spark, Terraform, etc.).
- Keep up with trends in Data Science and propose innovations when applicable.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a degree program in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Basic programming knowledge (Python, R, or SQL).
- Motivated to learn and grow in Data Engineering.
