About the role
- Senior Engineer building web-scale applications using .NET technology for Ding's universal top-up service. Collaborating with cross-functional teams in a hybrid role located in Bucharest, Romania.
Responsibilities
- Building out web-scale applications and platforms using modern .NET technology
- Working with the latest platforms and tooling including VS2022/Resharper/Rider and .NET 4.8/.NET 8
- Being part of a highly effective team using Kanban methodologies
- Work with exciting Microsoft and Open-Source technologies (Redis, RabbitMQ/SQS/SNS, Kafka, Lamar/StructureMap, MongoDb and nHibernate)
- Participate in adoption of native AWS cloud technologies
- Slice monoliths into new microservices as Docker containers
- Be part of the whole lifecycle of a feature; from the idea to discussion with the business, delivery, release to production
- Belong to a team who are constantly thinking about efficiency through good practices
- Participate and be listened to in discussion about new features, refactor opportunities, team improvements, new techs etc.
Requirements
- At least 5 years commercial experience in a backend Software Developer role
- Strong testing focus, able to write "clean" and "well designed code"
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with C#, ASP.NET Core Web API, SQL Server and Visual Studio
- Knowledge of front end technologies, architecture design, microservices, design patterns, code refactoring, mocking frameworks and security
- Experience in best practices in application development; including Agile Development, Continuous Integration, Test Driven Development and SOLID principles
- Knowledge of modern technology concepts; best practices and patterns including API first development (REST) and HTTP technologies as well as messaging.
